In 2022, I graduated from the Master's degree program in Biology in the field of Innovative Drugs, which is being implemented jointly with the University of Franche Comté France. I spent one year in Russia, and the second year of study in France at the University of Burgundy. I had a serious motivation: such a two–degree program gave me the opportunity to study with the best teachers, use the experience and resources of two universities at once, and complete internships in two laboratories - in Russia and in France. Initially, I enrolled in another master's program at Sechenov University. There was no doubt about the choice of the university, but I found out about the Biology program in the Innovative Drugs profile, thanks to which I could study in France for a year after enrolling. I was lucky, and in the end I transferred to this program, as it seemed to me more interesting and promising, although difficult. Thanks to the training, I was able to expand my knowledge, acquire practical skills that are in demand on the labor market, and get to know a different culture. This kind of experience is a huge advantage when looking for a job.

In 2020, I was enrolled in the Innovative Drugs Master's program, which gave me extensive knowledge in the fields of molecular and functional imaging, molecular biology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and scientific project management. After graduating from the Sechenov University I worked as a researcher at a medical laboratory in my native country, Ghana… I had a great work experience at Sechenov University, and I will recommend everyone to apply. I chose Russia, namely Sechenov University, because I read that this university was one of the outstanding medical universities offering students intensive clinical and practical training. The university has created the best infrastructure to support students in their learning. Their graduation ceremony is the best, and the professors are always ready to help the students... Sechenov University offers excellent career and personal opportunities.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Russian Federation, as a great country, and to the Innovative Drugs program under the Russian Ministry of Higher Education for granting me a master's scholarship. I chose Russia for my master's degree because it has a developed and globally competitive education system. Life in Russia is comfortable, beautiful and cheap. Russians are quite kind and helpful to foreigners. I studied at Sechenov University for a master's degree and chose it because of its high scientific reputation in Russia. This university is a leader in the field of medicine and medical sciences. The Master's program was full of information and training, thanks to which I gained a lot of academic knowledge and professional skills in the field of technical methods for developing innovative drugs. Studying at the university provided me with scientific knowledge and a sufficient number of skills that laid a solid scientific foundation necessary for my career, as well as gave me self-confidence. I would like to express my deep gratitude to all the distinguished professors, and first of all to Professor Valery Smirnov, my supervisor, for cooperation. I also do not forget to express my deep gratitude to Maria Stepanova, Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Pharmaceutical Institute, for her kind attitude towards me and the successful organization of master's degree programs. I also thank all the university staff for constant cooperation in all areas.

I want to devote myself to science — a master's degree will allow me to improve my research skills. A diploma from Sechenov University will give me access to higher-paying jobs in academic, teaching and industrial circles. I've known since childhood that I want to contribute to the development of drugs that will improve people's quality of life. I plan to work in the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology. I went to Sechenov University to study biotechnological methods, expand my knowledge in the field of cell biology, and also learn how to develop and manage projects. I chose Russia because historically it has always been distinguished by a high scientific level, and in recent decades it has been actively developing technologically and scientifically. Education in Russia is one of the best in the world. And, unlike in other countries, education and the cost of living are more affordable here. I found Sechenov University's master's program to be the most interesting and complete. The chance to work in state-of-the-art labs on impactful projects with key scientists in our field was a major draw. I was also attracted to the internships offered at Russian pharmaceutical companies and international research centers.

The "Innovative Drugs" master's program provided me with a comprehensive understanding of modern biological drug development. The course covered the fundamentals of all disciplines involved in drug development, from target identification to preclinical trials and production scaling. A wide selection of practice bases inside and outside the institute allowed me to choose one that matched my knowledge and interests. In my work, this helped me to increase my expertise in long-term planning for the introduction of new drugs to the market, taking into account the nuances of their development.
